Practice evidence
Short activities, reading responses, writing tasks, discussion or applied practice depending on the pathway.
Completion task
A final age- and level-appropriate task demonstrating the key course outcomes. Successful completion can generate an RCI certificate of completion; it is not presented as a regulated qualification.
Who this pathway is for
This pathway is designed for Educator / Community Leader learners (adults supporting readers) who want to develop sound discrimination, blending, segmenting, phoneme manipulation at Starter level.
Progression
After completion, learners can move into a higher-level pathway within Phonemic Awareness, apply the skill in another literacy domain, join a Reading Ambassador pathway, or continue through the Reading Passport and Literacy App.
